An Open Letter to David Gregory

Dear Mr. Gregory,

If you are wondering why Meet the Press has recently been struggling in the ratings, I would like to offer a few suggestions.

First, your obsession with Hillary Clinton is unbecoming. To be honest, it's a little embarrassing. I recommend focusing on real 2014 races that are happening in the present, instead of spending half of your show dripping with speculation on a presidential election that is more than two years away.

I'm not sure if you got the memo, but Clinton hasn't even announced that she's running yet. Some of us in states like Florida have more important things to think about, like the upcoming 2014 gubernatorial election. Regardless of where you live, 2014 elections will undoubtedly affect all Americans profoundly, and they're right in front of our noses, like a stray bullet fired as a warning shot from a concealed weapon.

Second, please consider dropping "As a father" and "As a man of faith" to qualify your opinions. For many viewers, this does nothing to increase your credibility as a journalist. In fact, for some of us, it diminishes it.

One interesting observation is that you identify yourself as Jewish, but I seem to hear something about the Pope every other Sunday on your show. If you want to talk about Catholicism, I suggest having an afternoon cocktail with Dan Brown, or better yet, Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Finally, go out and get yourself a nice Tim Russert mask.  Sorry man, we just really miss that guy.

Sincerely, Arroz
